Description:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of SDET engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages creativity, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.

• Set clear objectives, goals, and performance expectations for the team, and monitor progress towards achieving them.

2. Strategic Planning and Execution :

• Develop and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

• Collaborate with product management, development, and QE teams to define testing requirements, priorities, and timelines.

• Drive the adoption of industry best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency, coverage, and effectiveness.
3. Quality Assurance and Test Automation:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and infrastructure to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

• Develop and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing.

• Analyse test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.

4. Process Improvement and Optimization:

• Identify areas for process improvement and optimization within the software development lifecycle, with a focus on test automation, quality assurance, and release management.

• Drive initiatives to streamline testing processes, reduce manual effort, and improve overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor the effectiveness of testing activities and drive continuous improvement.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, DevOps, and customer support, to ensure alignment of testing activities with overall business objectives.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, quality metrics, and any potential risks or issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role managing SDET or QA teams in an agile software development environment.
  • Strong expertise in test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies (, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (, AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture is a plus.
