As the property's strategic financial business leader, this role is crucial in driving the unit's success. Being part of the Executive Committee, the position is responsible for developing and executing property-wide strategies to meet the brand's target customer needs. The primary focus is on delivering exceptional products and services while ensuring optimal financial returns.

Engaging in Strategic Planning and Decision Making

  • Identifying opportunities to boost profits, evaluating costs and benefits, and exploring new business prospects.
  • Analyzing data to forecast sales versus expenses and creating annual budget plans.
  • Monitoring actual sales against projections and analyzing budget discrepancies for better financial planning.
  • Breaking down information to understand underlying principles and making informed decisions.
  • Thinking innovatively to develop and execute new business initiatives.
  • Developing the annual operating budget and providing analytical support during budget reviews.
  • Establishing controls to mitigate business risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analyzing financial data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Leading the creation and execution of an annual business plan aligned with the company's strategic direction.
  • Providing ongoing analytical support for sales projections and operational adjustments.

Leading Finance & Accounting Teams

  • Utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence team members.
  • Communicating strategic goals and priorities clearly to subordinates.
  • Influencing the executive team and property strategies while overseeing internal audits.
  • Empowering team members by assigning clear responsibilities supported by authority.
  • Conducting performance evaluations as per Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

  • CA Inter/CA with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in accounting, preferably in the hotel industry
