Role:
Robot Programmer

Experience:
Diploma with 5+years /UG with 3+years experience on (Robotic Model ABB make)

Qualifications :
Diploma or BE/B.Tech E&Tc/Mechatronics/Mechanical/Robotics & Automation
Responsibilities

  • Programming and configuring control systems that govern the behavior and operation of robots.
  • Programming and Modifying Robot Programs.
  • Integrating Peripheral Devices.
  • Integration of robots into existing systems or the development of new robotic systems
  • Conducting System Diagnostics.
  • Ensuring Safety and Compliance.
  • Travel to customer/supplier/vendor location for discussion /testing /installation /commissioning.

Required Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Should be well acquainted with Robot-specific Programming Languages like RAPID (for ABB robots), etc.
  • Proficiency in languages such as Python, C++, or Java can be beneficial for developing custom applications or integrating robotic systems with other software.
  • Should have knowledge of robot kinematics to understand the motion and position of robot joints.
  • Should be familiar with various sensors like cameras, lidar, proximity sensors, and actuators such as motors and servos that robots use to perceive and interact with the environment.
  • Should have experience with simulation software like Robot Studio to test and validate robot programs in a virtual environment before deploying them on actual robots.
  • Should have understanding of control systems, PID controllers, and other control algorithms used to regulate and stabilize robot motion and behavior.
  • Should have knowledge of communication protocols between robotic cell and field devices.
  • Awareness of safety standards like ISO 10218 and ISO 13849 to ensure the safe operation of robotic systems is must.
  • Should have strong problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve issues in robotic systems and programs.
  • Understanding of programming collaborative robots (cobots) that can work safely alongside humans and traditional industrial robots used in manufacturing environments would be added advantage.
  • Proficiency in documenting robot programs, creating user manuals, and using version control systems like Git for
managing and tracking changes in code.

  • Willing to stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics technology through continuous learning is essential to success in this field.
  • Good understanding of Manufacturing Engineering Processes is required.
  • Good understanding of automation software

Required Soft Skills :

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to communicate and work in collaboration with diverse local/global teams.
  • Good MS - Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
