We, Yasasree Viroha Impex Private Limited, are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Chief Financial Officer /Finance director or senior finance executive preferably in the social enterprise sector or impact investing.


About the company :


Yasasree Viroha Impex Pvt Ltd is a social enterprise with a mission to promote regenerative and circular agricultural value chains to optimize value for small, marginal, and tribal farmers in India.

We are working with 21,000 vulnerable farmers, facilitating them transmission to regenerative farming and other market-driven sustainable livelihood models. The current client base includes leading global partners and brands.

We are a human-centric organization and looking for an experienced and committed Chief Financial Officer to be part of our ambitious goals.


Overview :


As a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) you will play an instrumental role in leading the financial strategy and financial operations of the company.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to a social enterprise with a mission to support 50,000 farming families while restoring the environment by 2027.

You foster global partnerships and secure investment for the growth of sustainable innovations for scaling impact.

The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, experience in fundraising and investment, and a passion for driving positive social impact.


Roles and Responsibilities :

Financial Strategy and Planning :


As a member of our management team you will develop and execute the overall financial strategy aligned with the mission and goals (long and short term) of the social enterprise.

Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and delivering technical reports to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Implement financial controls and processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Develop an internal control framework and implement the same with rigour.

Investment and Funding :
Design and lead fundraising efforts, including identifying potential investors, preparing investment pitches, and negotiating terms for the marketing company.
Support fundraising efforts of the social enterprise and its network partners.
Build and maintain relationships with investors, donors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to secure funding and working capital.
Evaluate and recommend financing options, such as grants, loans, equity investments or impact investments, to support growth initiatives.

Financial Management :
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to track progress against goals and drive continuous improvements.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors to support strategic decision-making.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external user groups.
Responsible for compliance in India and abroad.
Manage the necessary insurance.
Develop and implement an overall financial management framework for learning and continuous improvement.

Global Expansion and Partnership :
Support in market outreach, conduct market research, and develop financial models to support expansion plans.

Collaborate with cross-functional team to explore opportunities for global expansion and partnerships that align with the mission, values, and impact goals.


Team Leadership and Development :
Provide Leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the finance/accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Inspire and motivate the finance/accounting team and support professional development initiatives and training programs to enhance their skills and capabilities.


Education Qualifications and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

A minimum of 5-8 years of proven record as a CFO, finance director, or senior financial executive, preferably in the social enterprises sector or impact investing.

Demonstrated track record of successfully raising capital, managing investments, and driving financial sustainability.
Strong understanding of compliance, financial principles, investment analysis, and fundraising strategies in India and beyond.
Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels and with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
Commitment to the social enterprise's mission and values, with a passion for driving positive social impact.
Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
Experience in managing insurance.
Experience in international projects is a plus.
