In this role, you'll collaborate withother departments, such as Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales Technical, HR etc. to create effectivebusiness plans, teamwork and budgeting are important skillsets. You will also be supporting productionactivities and operations. You'll be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as theproduction (control and supervision) stage. A large part of the job is dealing with people and resourcesmanagement.You may also be involved with product design and purchasing, and the role may beintegrated with other functions such as Marketing.
Job Functions:
Procurement Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's overall businessobjectives.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and select strategic suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, andreliability.
Negotiate contracts and agreements, including terms and conditions, pricing, and service levels.
Budget responsible for dedicated cost centerMaintain records for Capex Budget fileAnalyze market trends, conduct bench-marking, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Implement initiatives to optimize procurement costs without compromising on quality.Maintains local supplier relationships to ensure the procurement of materials and servicessupport international and local needs.
Send RFQ & RFPs to be approved international/local vendors.
Negotiations with supplier.
Prepare Comparison Sheet, Purchase Orders on Procurement System and following withsupplier related to PO.Supervising the Store activities and check inventory on Monthly/QuarterlySupervising shipping arrangements, Tracking, Customs clearance for local and foreigndestination with Logistics team.
Follow up renewals for vendor support, maintenance contract.Leads investigation, maintenance and changes of Purchase Orders (POs) (indirect) or frameagreements to allow for successful processing of supplier invoices.
Ensure procurement processes adhere to relevant industry regulations and company policies.Establish and maintain strong governance practices within the procurement function.
Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members.
Requirements Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Minimum 8-10 years procurement management experience, preferably in a Telecommunication related project, and including service procurement.
Thorough knowledge of DFID and its contractual, procurement and reporting requirements required.
Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team, assess priorities, and manage multiple activities with attention to detail, meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
Excellent problem-solving capacity, with demonstrated ability for considerable analysis and sound judgment to find solutions in a complex environment with shifting and competing priorities.
Excellent cross-cultural communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills demonstrated by ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, stakeholders, clients and consultants.
