The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub.. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Mission Statement:
Global Application Specialist will onboard various transformer products into the BU configurators e-Config and Powershop with market-based pricing. Global Application Specialist will be reporting to team manager of INOPC PGTR Engineering & Technology team.
Your Responsibilities:
Identifying, proposing, advising and implementing existing IT application technology and IT solutions or services, sharing knowledge and depending on seniority, guiding others on implementation and operation using understanding of existing IT application technology and business requirements. Involving in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of IT solutions or services where application knowledge is needed. Application and software designing, in order to provide product solutions for specific business needs. Managing and supporting the entire process of building applications, from the design process, to creating, testing and rolling out the application. Designing a product solution in line with specifications given by solution architect, application manager and business users. Implementing application and providing support services for users. Providing trainings for the business users. Leading the deployment and maintenance of configuration data, including product specifications of complex industrial goods, costing, and pricing, collaborate closely with developers in order to ensure business satisfaction. Developing business requirements based on company needs, drive ROI assessments for new developments. Rigorously test and validate configuration models and scenarios. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and sales, to maintain consistency and accuracy in product configurations, creation of documentations and training material. Continuously monitor and analyze configuration performance, incorporating customer feedback for improvements. Managing critical master data objects, such as products, business partners, technical assets, and enterprise structures. Ensuring compliance with data standards and policies. Performing data cleansing, validation, and enrichment to maintain high-quality master data. Supporting data migration, integration, and synchronization efforts. Addressing data-related issues promptly and provide data support to stakeholders. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or business management. 2-3 years of experience in IT Applications Management and Service Delivery in multinational companies. Experience in one or more coding languages (e.g. Javascript, C++, Python, Java. Specify the languages relevant to the role) and with development platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Pega, Docker, Kubernetes. Specify the languages relevant to the role). Experience and ability to work with virtual delivery teams as well as distributed stakeholders and with functional domain where the application belongs to. (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Sales & Marketing. Specify the languages relevant to the role). Strong ability to understand context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives and understanding of software development lifecycles. Solid background in sales and marketing and advanced knowledge of configuration strategies across various business archetypes. Knowledge in SAP SD, MM, Pricing and familiarity with MS Project and Jira is beneficial. Exceptional analytical abilities for navigating intricate data structures. Strong communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration and demonstrated excellence in project management. Expertise in configuration and master data management tools and proficiency in Previous experience in pricing is highly valued, problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in English language.-
