In this job as the Checkout Lead, you will work as part of the management team supporting and training colleagues of up to 100+ personnel across all departments but 20+ directly in the customer service departments.

We are looking for a passionate retail manager, or Supervisor who has experience working and leading teams in a fast-paced and pressurised environment that can organise and get the best from their teams on a busy day. This supermarket group offers a competitive rate, along with great benefits, and career progression to areas like head office, HR, and Store Management. Responsibilities for this Retail Checkout Manager Job:

  • Overall management of a busy checkout department.
  • Supervision a busy department, resolving customer queries, complaints
  • Working closely with senior management on proper control of the staff rota
  • Queue management.
  • Support colleagues, training and coaching your team
  • Covering the customer service desk by assisting customers with questions/queries.
  • As part of the management team, you will be required to work across various areas of the shop and assist with shop openings and closes on occasion

The ideal candidate for this Retail Checkout Manager Job:

  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Strong people management skills, capable of managing a diverse team with different needs
  • Big box retail, Grocery, or previous customer service Supervisor or management is essential
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Be able to work within a team and on your own initiative.
  • Flexible to work different shifts, mornings and evenings, weekends.
