About the Role:
We are looking for a talented Principal Salesforce Engineer specialized in data migration to lead and oversee our Salesforce data migration projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our data migration processes are well-aligned with our overall business objectives. Join our IT Go-To-Market (GTM) Systems team, where your expertise, inquisitiveness, and commitment to excellence will make a significant impact.

What You'll Do:
  • Design and Architect Data Migration Frameworks: Develop comprehensive data migration strategies that cover the entire data lifecycle, from extraction to loading into Salesforce, while maintaining data integrity and meeting business needs.
  • Lead Data Migration Projects: Manage data migration initiatives, especially during mergers and acquisitions, to ensure seamless transitions and minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Engage with various stakeholders including enterprise data specialists, Salesforce developers, BI teams, and business units to develop solutions that align with strategic goals.
  • Advanced Data Handling and Analysis: Apply advanced data manipulation techniques to address complex business queries and reporting requirements that standard Salesforce reporting tools may not fulfill.
  • Ensure Code Quality and Best Practices: Conduct thorough code reviews and uphold high standards for code quality and system scalability throughout all Salesforce data migrations.
  • Technical Leadership and Solution Development: Lead the creation of standardized data migration solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, data mappings, and processes, and consistently seek opportunities for system enhancements.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep yourself updated on new Salesforce features and data migration technologies, advocating for and implementing best practices to improve system capabilities and business operations.

Your Qualifications:
  • Deep Expertise in Salesforce and Data Migration: Comprehensive knowledge of Salesforce, with expertise in CPQ, data migration tools, and a successful track record in managing large-scale data migration projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, familiarity with database management systems like Snowflake and SQL Server, and ETL tools such as Fivetran.
  • Integration and Automation Skills: Proficient in designing and implementing integration patterns, utilizing REST APIs, middleware solutions, and automation tools to optimize system operations.
  • Agile Methodology: Proven experience in leading projects within an Agile framework, promoting rapid iterations and adaptations based on evolving business requirements.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and encourage cross-functional collaboration.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant Salesforce development experience, including at least 4 years in a data migration-focused role.
