Azure Security Engineer :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Threat Detection and

Incident Response:
Monitor Azure environments diligently to detect security incidents, anomalies, and potential threats. Develop and execute incident response plans to promptly address and mitigate security breaches. Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and offer recommendations for remediation.

  • Security Assessments and Audits: Conduct regular security assessments and audits of Azure environments to pinpoint misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and ensure adherence to security standards. Perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and security assessments of Azure applications and infrastructure.
  • Security Monitoring and Alerting: Configure and oversee security monitoring tools and systems to detect and respond to security events and incidents effectively. Develop and refine security alerts and notifications to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Security Documentation and Training: Develop and upkeep security documentation, including policies, standards, and procedures specific to Azure environments. Provide training and guidance to internal teams on best practices for Azure security and secure coding techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Security Monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Azure security services and features, such as Defender for Cloud, Azure Firewall, Azure Identity Protection, WAF, Azure Policies, and Azure Sentinel.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, such as Mitre Att&CK, NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience with security monitoring tools and SIEM solutions.
  • Understanding of Azure Cybersecurity practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Knowledge of network security, identity and access management, encryption, and authentication protocols.
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills, with the ability to swiftly identify and resolve security issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively liaise with crossfunctional teams.
Preferred Certifications :

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or Security Operations Analyst.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP). )
