Overview

The Software area is responsible for the development of computer programming systems and applications including the design, coding, testing and deployment of products and solutions to meet firm obligations.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced mobile application developer looking to make a global impact while working with the latest technologies? Are you passionate to build complex, highly scalable, resilient Mobile enterprise-grade applications in an exciting environment? TNS is looking for a Sr. Handset Development Lead to work with our high-caliber group in delivering complex multi-platform mobile applications for the next generation of telecommunications and fraud protection.

Develop scalable, robust, and cost-effective mobile solutions in a public and hybrid cloud environment. Take ownership of the Technical Requirements and work with teams to drive the technology roadmap. Proactively communicate with Managers and Technical Leaders regarding the status and potential impacts on the delivery date and/or expected quality of tasks and projects. Experience hiring, mentoring and supporting a mobile development team. Work with mobile development team in the US to develop a modular application framework using cross platform technologies. Develop high quality software components in accordance with organizational standards, technical requirements, and detailed designs. Effectively participate in a team-oriented environment that involves continuous design reviews, code reviews, and collaboration. Actively work with Project Management and QA teams and produce technical documentation required by QA. Provide technical guidance and product expertise to Customer Delivery and Operations to resolve production issues. Follow established development processes for assigned projects.

Qualifications

Core Requirements:

8+ years experience developing complex, reliable mobile applications. At least 5 years of experience managing or leading a mobile development team. At least 8 years of experience with native application development (Objective-C, Swift, Kotlin and Java) as well as experience with hybrid development (React or Flutter). Strong experience developing web applications and understanding of new web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, React, Angular, ) Experience building highly available applications. Working knowledge of web service infrastructure such as DNS, load balancers, reverse proxies, CDNs, application Servers, and databases Basic understanding of networking concepts Strong experience with JIRA and Gitlab Experience setting up CI/CD for new applications and development workflows Experience writing unit and functional tests

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a product development company focused on Telecommunications
- Proficient with edge computing principals and architecture.
- Experience with Agile scrum methodologies.

Experience building/hosting production applications on AWS or any other major cloud provider
