Global Supply Planning.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The main responsibility of the network planner is to create an efficient supply plan on a monthly basis for the mid to long term.
  • The supply plan aims to ensure a continuous and effective supply of finished goods (FG) products to customers, with minimal inventory to maximize efficiency, minimize working capital costs, and manage stock levels to conserve cash.

OVERALL, JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop an optimized E2E global supply plan for mAbs and/or Insulins every month, focusing on the mid to long term.
  • Ensure continuous and efficient supply of finished goods to customers while optimizing inventory levels to meet efficiency targets and minimize costs.
  • Manage risks and opportunities related to demand variations, capacity, and material constraints.
  • Provide input for long term capacity investments and sourcing decisions.

The optimized global supply plan aims to:

  • Meet customer requirements through monthly supply-demand balancing leadership to enhance service quality and revenue.
Analyze the supply network to make end-to-end decisions.

  • Align manufacturing, warehousing, and suppliers to ensure clarity and alignment across supply functions.
  • Support decision-making by evaluating multiple supply scenarios, including medium term capacity constraints.
Assess financial impacts of risks and opportunities.

Support the maintenance of current and future supply models.

  • Optimize costs by reducing write-offs and improving inventory efficiency.
  • Enhance agility and flexibility.
  • The network planner has authority to adjust the supply plan when necessary for the mid to long term.

Changes are typically made through sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes, specifically supply review and executive S&OP meetings.


Long Range Planning & Strategy Planning:

  • Key leader in Global SC Planning for Long Range Planning activities.
  • Collect and prepare the Global Long-Range Planning & Strategy Planning with support from various teams.
  • Analyze past trends and future plans to support long range planning processes.
  • Identify capacity gaps and propose enhancements through in-house or external manufacturing sites.
  • Present the final Strategic Supply Plan to Global SCM & Operations leadership.
  • Track and report on Strategic Plan and Budget vs. Actual performance regularly.

Supply Chain Technology and Automation:

  • Responsible for IBP Planning tool and enhancements within SC planning team.
  • Identify opportunities for IT and automation implementation to improve supply chain visibility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field, MBA in Operations preferred.
  • SCM certification required, with specialization in IT systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in SC Analytics tools.
Experience: 8-12 Years.

Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical).

The role requires expertise in the following areas:

  • Understanding of production capabilities, manufacturing constraints, and costs.
.- Familiarity with supply network requirements, inventory management, capacity constraints, and lead times.

  • Knowledge of product portfolios, market dynamics, and experience in Pharmaceutical Supply Chain.
  • Proficiency in SAP, SAP IBP/APO, JDA, and Kinaxis for Supply Planning.
