Asset & Wealth Management - Associate - AWM Treasury - Mumbai

Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined Line of Business-aligned (LOB-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.


GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products.

The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions.

The current opening is within the AWM Treasury team in Mumbai which forms part of the Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) LOB within GF&BM India.

About the Team

J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management delivers industry-leading investment management solutions. Asset Management provides individuals, advisors and institutions with strategies and expertise that span the full spectrum of asset classes through our global network of investment professionals. Wealth Management helps individuals, families and foundations take a more intentional approach to their wealth or finances to better define, focus and realize their goals


The Treasury team provides the insights to the management for the Mortgage business in terms of the production, prepayment, profitability, pricing and other ancilliary ad hoc reports.

The team also looks into the liquidity management information for the deposit an the loan books.

The team keeps a track on the Market risk hedging for the LOB and is responsible for the tracking of the performances of the hedges in place.


Role Responsibilities:


The person will develop a solid understanding of AWM Mortgage business be able to articulate trends and business drivers for management decision support.

Responsibilities include daily/weekly/monthly deliverables coordination, automation of the processes and help the team increase the footprint on the AWM modelling front.

The person will work closely with the treasurer, mortgage leads and also with the corporate treasury to manage the responsibilities.


The main tasks include:

  • Responsible for daily/weekly reporting for AWM Mortgage business which include key business metrics.
  • Automation and Management of the exisiting processes to bring in efficiencies in the system.
  • Prepare adhoc analyses for management meetings and strategic reviews (e.g., Operating Committee Review, Regional Business and Finance Townhall, Investor Day, etc.)
  • Assist Morgtage leads with the ad hoc reporting regarding the in deth analysis of the existing information
  • Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible.
  • Work with Automation team to interpret the databases and implement the reporting changes.
  • Contribute ideas around improving reporting capabilities and new projects

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of CA or an MBA in Finance is required
  • 4+ years of Finance experience, preferably in Financial Services and avid user of technology to bring in efficiencies.
  • Must have: Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, Alteryx/Python/Tableau.
  • Experience in creating Tableau dashboards.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Positive attitude and demonstrate intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent organizational, management, both verbal & written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
