Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer- team Lead to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in embedded systems development and a strong background in firmware design, implementation, and testing and the person who can lead a team of Firmware Engineers.

This individual will play a key role in developing cutting-edge firmware solutions for our products, contributing to all phases of the firmware development lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of firmware engineers to develop and maintain embedded systems and firmware for IoT devices.
  • Design, develop, and test firmware for new and existing IoT products.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and interfaces.
  • Ensure firmware development processes and practices are followed.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality of code and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve firmware-related issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, specifically in IoT.
  • Contribute to the development of disruptive technology solutions that set the company apart in the market.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and RTOS.
  • Hands-on experience with IoT devices and communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, Bluetooth, Zigbee).
  • In-depth knowledge of BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), Wi-Fi, and Mesh networking technologies.
  • Experience with hardware interfacing, communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.), and debugging tools.
  • Expertise with microcontroller units (MCUs) from Texas Instruments, STMicroelectronics (STM), Espressif, Nordic Semiconductor, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication standards (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, etc.).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with low-power embedded systems.
  • Understanding of security protocols and best practices for IoT devices.

Job Specification:

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in firmware development with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
