This important science, technology, and innovation center will support a range of technology and drug development activities that will help us usher in the next wave of innovation.

Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for BMS SAP eco-systems including, ABAP and Java systems, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Business Suites, SAP Solution Manager, Fiori, SLT, PPM, GRC, SAP BTP, Cloud Solutions, SAP HANA, ASE, PostgreSQL and Oracle databases and Linux, Windows operating systems.

Responsible for all activities related to SAP Basis administration and coordinate all support activities for the SAP infrastructure.

Responsible for planning, preparing, and installing SAP applications.

Responsible for implementation of SAP add-ons and support packages.

Manage system refreshes, system copies and building of new SAP systems.

Responsible for System landscape configuration and operation, ensure that all technology workloads are balanced.

Ensure system performance and uptime by ensuring adequate monitoring and response.

Responsible for managing and testing and disaster recovery and high availability solutions for SAP servers.

Support all necessary audits and inspections by satisfying information requests promptly.


Develop, maintain, and update SAP Administration processes and documentation, across the entire SAP application and system landscape to satisfy both BMS and external requirements.


Work closely with digital technology application teams, security, architecture, and vendor teams to deliver identified objectives of contemporizing the SAP environment and processes.

Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and trends and make recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.

Take ownership of assigned work activities and progress to conclusion promptly and efficiently.


Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including ABAP & Java systems, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Business Suites, SAP Solution Manager, Fiori, SLT, PPM, GRC, SAP BTP and SAP Cloud solutions.

Perform SAP HANA database, installation, upgrades and patches, administration tasks, performance tuning, troubleshooting.

Perform system upgrades, patches, and installations in accordance with best practices and company guidelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of SAP systems with other applications and technologies.

Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal system availability and performance.

Assist in the development and implementation of system backup and recovery strategies.

Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with company standards.

Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and trends and make recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.

Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.


Proficiency in all aspects of SAP Basis administration, including system administration, database administration, and networking in various SAP technologies and cloud platforms.


Proficiency in various SAP technologies:

S/4HANA, BW, GTS, ATTP, PPM, SLT, Solution Manager, Fiori, GRC, ABAP, Java, SAP BTP, SaaS, AWS, Cloud integration components.

Proficiency in SAP HANA administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Experience in SAP ASE, PostgreSQL and Oracle database administration.

Experience in operating systems, such as Linux and Windows server.

Proficient in full life cycle implementation of multiple SAP systems, installations, upgrades, and patches.

Strong understanding of SAP system architecture, administration, and performance tuning.

Deep knowledge of SAP system installations, upgrades, and patches.

Deep knowledge of SAP system monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Knowledge of SAP security concepts and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience managing projects or components of large projects.

Experience managing a team.

Excellent documentation skills and practices.

Experience implementing SAP solutions for pharmaceutical industry, in FDA and GxP regulated environment is a plus.
