Join us as a Lead Consultant in Cloud FinOps at AstraZeneca, a place where we turn ideas into life-changing medicines. We're seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our FinOps & Cloud Economics team. In this role, you'll be responsible for optimizing our cloud expenditure, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and driving efficiency across our cloud infrastructure. You'll work closely with finance, engineering, and operations teams to implement cost-saving strategies, monitor cloud usage, and provide insights to optimize spending.

Accountabilities:

As a Cloud FinOps Specialist, you will implement and manage cloud cost allocation and chargeback mechanisms. You will develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track cloud spending and usage metrics. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of cloud costs. You will analyze cost trends and provide recommendations on cost-saving opportunities. You will also promote, educate, and advocate for good Cloud Economics and FinOps methodologies.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Passion for cloud technology and cloud value proposition Strong communication and collaboration skills Strong understanding of cloud providers' pricing models, services, and offerings (, AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, or cloud cost optimization Proficiency in cloud cost management tools and platforms ( Cloudability, CloudCheckr, AWS Cost Explorer) Relevant certifications (, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) are a plus Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, or a related field Positive can-do approach Agile mindset Thirst for innovation
