Position summary:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing technical support for IT systems.

This position is critical in supporting the security, growth, and daily business activities of the Water Platform (WP) Operating Companies (OpCo).

BA or BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
5+ years experience with Linux and Microsoft Technologies
Proficient in maintaining Server and storage hardware remotely
Experienced with backup and recovery tools like Veeam
Previous Bash or PowerShell scripting experience
Previous cloud experience with Azure or AWS
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Working knowledge and experience using project management methodologies and techniques
Great attitude and work ethic
Experience in global, matrix organization a plus
Ability to effectively partner and support cross-functional teams
Ability to deal with conflict, and manage expectations
Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Accepts and embraces a stretch culture environment with a positive can-do attitude
Ability to partner with stakeholders and lead through influence
Proven technical system administration skills

Provide day-to-day administration of Linux and Microsoft technologies
Monitor systems for alerts and resolve problems
Provide day-to-day technical support to OpCo's Local Server Administrators (LSAs)
Identify and implement standards and processes in order to demonstrate efficiency gains
Implement security measures as necessary to ensure the proper protection against intrusion and loss of company and associate information
Support project management activities as necessary for small and large-scale projects and implementations
Gain knowledge of Azure Cloud Services, Linux/Microsoft/VMware Technologies, and related features by actively keeping updated with technical documentation, roadmaps, and release plans
Effectively collaborate with other WQP IT Shared Service teams on support and projects

Travel:

Minimal travel (15% or less) is required.
