You will:
Build high-performing, scalable applications that enable an optimal consumer experience.

Participate in an agile development team, implementing user stories with automated testing to verify acceptance criteriaWork with Product Managers, Project Managers, Services and Support departments to understand and implement business requirements.

Provide accurate estimation of development effort and input into project timelines.
Provide development level support for assigned products and projects throughout the development lifecycle.
You'll ensure DB's run and work effectively in the deployment environment.
Engineers, Scrum Masters and Project Managers to deliver solutions and capabilities that exceed expectations.

You have:


Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical discipline8+ years of IT experienceGood knowledge on Oracle Database Architecture & Open Source Database Preferred PostgreSQLExperience in Installation and Creation of 18c & 19c Databases on RAC and Non-RAC & developing various database backup & recovery strategies using Cold Backup & Hot BackupExperience in configuration and working with RMAN (Recovery Manager) & database cloning/refresh through RMAN.Experience on Upgrading the databases to latest oracle version 18c & 19c & Migrating cross platform (AIX, LINUX) databases.

Experience in creating databases in multitenant Architecture (CDB and PDB) & on multi node Oracle RAC systems.
Working experience on data guard environment and using DG broker & Database logical refresh from prod to non-prod.
Hands on Experience of ASM mechanisms. (Automatic Storage Management) & Participated in DR Exercises which included planning and execution of the same.
Experience in applying patches as per the Oracle security policy & Database Reorganization and tuning for better performance.

Hands on in handling large number of DBs and huge databases & Backup configurations and restore, recovering as per application requirement.

Managed and supported a large PostgreSQL database including backups, restores, monitoring, and performance tuning.

Implemented an alerting system for issues such as disk space depletion or high CPU usage by processes on the server.

Troubleshot problems related to the database software or hardware and provided solutions that improved overall reliability of the database infrastructure.

Conducted regular performance reviews of databases, identifying inefficiencies and proactively resolving issues before they became a problem.
Implemented migration tasks from Oracle apps to PostgreSQL databases.
Hands on experience on PostgreSQL replication , Cluster Setup, Database Recovery & building High availability solution.
Experience in conducting performance tuning, scalability/capacity planning and UNIX shell scripting & in system Administration of Linux, AIX, Windows.
The ability to learn existing and new applications quickly, independently, and with moderate supervision. You figure what you need to do and how to do it, then do it.
Experience with solving performance problems and tuning databases.
Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes experience would be additional advantageCertified PostgreSQL Administrator would be added advantage.
Experience working with high volume transaction systems.
