LexisNexis Risk Solution group are currently seeking a Software Engineer to be part of a friendly, forward thinking collaborative team. This role would suit a recent graduate or someone looking for the opportunity to build further on acquired skills.

We provide excellent training and mentoring so that on completion you will be able to:

Performs moderate/complex research, design, and software development assignments using Core Technology and Concepts – Bigdata – HPCC ECL, Basic Python, ETL concepts or BI. Be comfortable working day-to-day in the key technologies – SQL, DevOps, Basic Cloud (Azure), Unix.

What we are looking for:

BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required. Strong analytical skills, Communication, Problem Solving skills. Expertise on SQL, Unix. End to end knowledge software development lifecycle. Strong hold on Data Manipulation Language, ETL concepts. Must have adequate knowledge on - .Development in a database technology using SQL and PLSQL, Data warehousing on prem / cloud. Expected knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Good Problem Solving and Requirement understanding skills as well as a positive attitude, ability, and desires to learn new processes and technologies. Successfully implement end to end development and help with Code Reviews, Best practices. Good to have basic knowledge of Cloud, Python, PreData processing, Facts and Dimension, Data Profiling, using any ETL tool – Talend, Informatica, IBM DataStage, Pentaho or using Bigdata concepts.
