Join a rock star start-up engineering team working on the next generation auto-scaled, highly available, hybrid cloud enterprise application platform for the American Express Delivery Transformation initiative. As an Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a robust and efficient service operation for the Continuous Improvement / Continuous Delivery Platform.

Responsibilities:

  • This role involves working on incident, problem, and change requests to support CI/CD automation platforms, following a designated shift pattern.
  • Core member of an agile team responsible for driving software applications build, tests, and deploy through CI/CD automation tools.
  • Owning technical aspects of CI/CD tools used for build, test, and deploy processes.
  • Collaborating with application support teams to provide support for their application codes in DevOps platforms.
  • Identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies to address existing needs and anticipate future challenges.
  • Ensuring high availability of environments and meeting Service Level Agreements and Operating Level Agreements.
  • Partnership with CI/CD and Cloud engineering teams to support an evolving platform.
  • Providing technical expertise, alternatives, and resolution for technical issues within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth understanding of Linux functionalities, system administration, and experience with various technologies.
  • Proven diagnostic, troubleshooting, and service restoration skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and English communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and bridge gaps effectively.
  • Strong scripting experience in Bash/Ansible Playbook on Red Hat Linux environment.
  • Ability to work in a 12x7 follow the sun model.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Certifications, such as RHCE or RHCSA.
  • Experience in designing and developing components for data hygiene.
