Amazon Vendor Services (AVS), in collaboration with Retail Business Services (RBS), offers a premium B2B service designed to assist key Vendors in partnering with Amazon.

The Vendor Consultant (VC) will play a vital role in developing and executing a strategy to manage essential metrics for Amazon AVS vendors.


Soft Skills:
energetic, customer-focused, motivated, and innovative. The Vendor Consultant will collaborate internally with leaders from RBS, Retail, and Vendor Services teams, overseeing specific aspects of the vendor's Amazon business operations.

The role involves direct engagement with various internal teams to optimize business strategies for key manufacturers/vendors on Amazon. Responsibilities include analyzing a wide array of data to enhance the vendor's online presence, brand visibility, customer engagement, and revenue generation on Amazon. Additionally, the position entails examining the strategic and operational facets of the vendor's relationship with Amazon, conducting root cause analyses of issues, and identifying growth opportunities.

The Vendor Consultant will primarily focus on managing customer relationships with vendors, focusing on both strategic and operational aspects.

Key job responsibilities:
  • Evaluation criteria will be based on the performance of internal teams on input metrics and the impact of vendors on enhancing the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the Retail (AVS) Team to maintain vendor relationships by advocating for the vendors' needs within Amazon.
  • Establish effective communication channels, set clear expectations, deliver transparent status updates, and work towards a growth strategy for the vendors.
  • Develop and execute a strategic account plan to leverage key business opportunities and relevant KPIs for vendors and Amazon.
  • Collaborate with internal Amazon teams and vendors to enhance the operational aspects of their business and provide an excellent consumer experience.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of vendor challenges and provide recommendations and action plans based on data insights to enhance vendor satisfaction.
  • Offer expertise in strategic planning, roadmaps, and execution.
  • Forge lasting partnerships with key vendor collaborators within the vendor group.
  • Support the introduction of new programs, categories, and features.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and metric reviews with vendors, focusing on business metric performance and devising action plans.
  • Ability to influence metrics by understanding data and constructing realistic forecasts. Willing to take calculated risks and swiftly respond with new action plans.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years of experience in program or project management
Experience in leveraging data to drive business decisions
2+ years of experience in customer/stakeholder interactions
Proficiency in advanced Excel (Array and Statistical formulas)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in back-office operations, escalation management, and troubleshooting environments
