OAT Tester

About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented OAT Tester to join our growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) for new features, functionalities, and upgrades.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transition of applications and systems from development to production.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with development, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand new features, functionalities, and system requirements.
• Participate in the design and review of OAT test plans and test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of operational functionality, performance, security, and compatibility.
• Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts using scripting languages like Python or Java (a plus).
• Utilize testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JMeter) to automate repetitive tasks and improve test efficiency.
• Conduct thorough test execution, identify defects, document them clearly, and track them through resolution.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and recommend improvements to testing processes.
• Participate in defect reviews and provide technical expertise to support resolution.
• Stay uptodate with the latest OAT methodologies and testing tools.
• Foster a collaborative environment and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications :

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 35 years of experience in OAT testing or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on testing methodologies.
• Experience in designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency in manual and exploratory testing techniques.
• Familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks (a plus).
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Desired Skills :

• Experience with API testing (a plus).
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner) (a plus).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) (a plus).
• Experience with Agile methodologies (a plus).
