About the Role


We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer in Test, to join Roku OS Test Automation Team at Roku, India location.

You will be collaborating with world-class global development & QA teams applying your finest Test Automation expertise across a range of our state-of-the-art devices.

What you'll be doing


Innovation of automated test development for applications developed in Linux/C/C++Develop automation test scripts using PythonConvert manual test cases into reliable, repeatable automated testsContribute to the Continuous Integration pipeline by running component builds, creating and running Deployment jobs on individual stages on Jenkins, and running automated functional testsPromote coding conventions and standards for code re-usability and cleanliness.

Conduct code reviews for improved code quality and optimizationSetup and maintain test automation infrastructure and toolsCollaborate with Manual QA, Project leads, and development throughout the software development life cycleTrain/mentor the new team members on Test automation developmentDebug failing tests to improve product and automated test quality

We're excited if you have

8+ years of relevant test automation development experience5+ years of Python programming experienceStrong problem-solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skillsSolid knowledge and experience developing test plans and test casesExcellent debugging skills and comfortable working with Linux based systemsProficiency with the use of continuous integration tools (Jenkins/Hudson, TeamCity, Maven, Gradle)Experience working with Git/GitLabHave an ability to communicate with candor and effectivenessExperience working collaboratively with cross-functional and remote teamsA self-directed professional able to work independentlyBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant fields

More desirable experience includes:
Familiar with other automated testing tools (JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, RestAssured, SoapUI)Design, develop, and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks and scripts using BDD and TDDPrevious experience with Non-Functional Testing (Performance Testing, Stress Testing)Testing compatibility with Audio/Video streaming devicesExperience in HDMI/HDCP, Wireless Networks and BluetoothData analysis and visualization
