About the Role
:Your will contribute towards;
Development of new monitoring and portfolio analysis techniques from both risk and profitability perspective using powerful data platforms . Development of tools and processes used for credit portfolio monitoring and steering . Generation of data insights for senior management decision making. Estimating the impact of macro and micro economic scenarios on portfolio quality through data driven forward looking views .This is a unique opportunity to implement your knowledge of data analysis in a real portfolio, relate economic developments to the performance and investigate trends to ensure a sustainable profitability. It is also an exceptional opportunity to further develop your knowledge into credit portfolio management, linking insurance and banking.
In this role, you will work with colleagues in diverse functions including underwriting, finance, operations, claims, actuarial and risk management. In addition to the day-to-day tasks, you will contribute to activities linked to the elaboration and implementation of the global growth strategy of the Credit & Surety unit

About theTeam :
The APM Credit Portfolio Steering team reports directly to the Global Head Actuarial Portfolio Management Corporate Solutions. C&S provides credit risk-based insurance solutions to banks and corporates in the areas of Trade, Commodity and Project Finance, Surety, Political Risk Insurance and Trade Credit Insurance.
The Credit Portfolio Steering team is responsible for
Monitoring the evolution of risk and risk adjusted measures of the inforce Credit & Surety portfolio Coordinating the overall Credit & Surety portfolio steering and risk mitigation processes Ensuring the adherence to portfolio limits Contribute to forward looking tactical and strategical decisions through a coordinated process to determine the optimal target liability portfolio Providing high-quality portfolio assessments in support of the C&S unit's diverse credit-related underwriting activities Leading key C&S CorSo strategic development initiatives both in data analysis and portfolio steeringWe are a global team with presence in Sao Paulo, Zurich and Bangalore and Singapore. We maintain direct contact to senior management throughout Swiss Re by acting as the link with Swiss Re Group Risk Management and Group Underwriting, Legal, Operations, Finance, Claims and Actuaries.
About You :
Previous experience (3-5 years) in credit portfolio management, risk reporting, risk management, especially in banking or insurance is preferred; actuarial and/or credit risk management experience a plus Good knowledge and understanding of credit aggregation, global macroeconomics, financial markets and credit-related products; experience in the Trade Finance and Surety sectors a plus Solid academic education (university degree or higher), ideally in financial economics, econometrics, financial engineering, or actuarial sciences. Engineers are welcome only with financial knowledge background. Well-developed IT skills – Microsoft Office and some programming language (python/ SQL or pyspark) Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, pragmatism and firm judgmentSkills
Independent thinking, thirst for knowledge, business curiosity an ambition to develop are a must Convincing interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective working relations in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment Self-starter organized and able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to manage diverse projects and tasks simultaneously. Able to apply quantitative skills, business knowledge, logical thinking and communicate the key message by visualization & presentation Digital transformation project experience - would be a plus.Fluency in English is a must. Other languages like Spanish, German, Portuguese are a plus
