Project Overview

Bechtel aims to collaborate with a prominent Indian company to offer Project Management Consultant (PMC) and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services for enhancing their petrochemical facilities in India. The project involves a multi-billion-dollar upgrade/expansion, with PMC services managed from India and EPCM services from Bechtel's India offices.

Position Overview

Exciting career growth opportunity for a motivated Lead Process Engineer with Gas Cracker Units (GCU) experience, eager for technical and leadership challenges in a major upgrade/expansion project. The ideal candidate should possess a strong grasp of GCU facility design and operation.

Position Summary

  • Reviews Engineering Contractor's process engineering deliverables based on set criteria and standards.
  • Coordinates with other discipline engineers to define project interfaces clearly.
  • Ensures timely delivery of project requirements.
  • Identifies and addresses design defects and technical issues.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders for technical decisions.
  • Provides innovative solutions to complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

  • Review and oversee plant and unit simulations.
  • Lead the review of various engineering documents and designs.
  • Represent the process engineering discipline at major reviews.
  • Manage offsites and utility design aspects.
  • Resolve technical issues effectively.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and significant experience in EPC industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of chemical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in industry regulations and standards.
  • Expertise in relief calculation methodologies and process design.
  • Experience in process simulation and optimization.
