Job Description

POSITION IS BASED OUT OF JOHN DAY, OR.

This position will implement conservation and restoration projects that target watershed and habitat recovery for anadromous fish throughout the John Day River Basin

Responsibilities include:

develop, design, bid, implement, and maintain conservation and restoration projects on private and public land; assist with project development for efforts completed by CTWS partners; provide technical assistance to the Tribes' implementation field crew; directly supervise 1-2 project management staff; coordinate with the Tribes' native plant nursery to plan re-vegetation projects; attend meetings to represent Tribal interests in the basin; assist with writing and management of grant funding; assist with annual statement of work and budget development; assist with annual statement of work reporting.

Requirements
Requires knowledge of:

habitat restoration methods for anadromous fish; effective communication skills; ability to supervise staff including hiring, training, and oversight; ability to develop contracts and budgets; understanding of GIS and data management.
