Role Description: We are currently looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE-2/SDE-3) + Instructor – Frontend to join our Computer Science Department. This roleis ideal for professionals with substantial industry experience who are passionate about WebDevelopment and committed to shaping the next generation of tech talent. The positioncombines hands-on technical expertise with academic responsibilities, including designingand delivering course content, conducting practical lab sessions, and mentoring students incore Computer Science and Frontend Development topics. The ideal candidate will alsocollaborate with academic leaders and industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance anddrive learning outcomes.Key Responsibilities :● Course Development & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lectures and practicalsessions in Frontend Topics like JavaScript, React.js, TypeScript, React Native, etc.● Lab Management: Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-oncoding experience.● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with faculty members, researchers, andindustry partners to enhance the curriculum.● Academic Excellence & Student Success: Mentor students, assist with project work, andensure academic growth.● Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with university administrators and Newton Schoolrepresentatives to drive innovation.● Research & Innovation: Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research andindustry collaborationsQualifications & Experience:● 3-10 years of experience as a Software Developer with a focus on FrontendDevelopment.● Proficiency in JS, CSS, React.js, and Angular (must be comfortable picking up newlanguages quickly).● Solid understanding of Frontend Development concepts, including experience withUser interface, performance optimization, and modern frameworks.● Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to students.● Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics.Good-to-Have:● Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.● Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools.● Experience in software development and system design.
