Environment Health Safety Lead

Title : Lead HSE Location: Jamnagar, Gujarat Exp: 15-20 years Role: To lead and oversee all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives for the AI/Data Center project, ensuring a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible work environment across design, construction, and commissioning phases. The Lead HSE is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and corporate standards. This role provides technical leadership, guidance, and oversight to all project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to minimize risks, prevent incidents, and promote a culture of safety and sustainability critical to mission-critical AI/Data Center operations. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures tailored to data center construction and operations, ensuring compliance with local laws, corporate standards, and industry best practices. 2. Conduct HSE risk assessments for all project activities, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure works, and define mitigation strategies. 3. Monitor and enforce compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and safe work practices across all project sites. 4. Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented. 5. Provide HSE training and guidance to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to foster a safety-first culture. 6. Coordinate with project managers and construction leads to integrate HSE requirements into project planning, design, and execution. 7. Conduct audits, inspections, and reviews to evaluate HSE performance and compliance, preparing reports for senior management. 8. Manage HSE documentation and reporting, including regulatory submissions, permits, and internal dashboards. 9. Promote sustainability initiatives and environmental responsibility in construction, commissioning, and operational activities. 10. Lead contractor and vendor HSE management, ensuring accountability, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement.
