Reliance Consumer Products Ltd. is seeking an experienced and strategic Category Manager for Energy Drinks portfolio. The Category Manager will be responsible for executing the strategy to grow the Energy Drinks portfolio, including new product innovations, pricing, promotions, and go-to-market strategies. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing the categorys performance, and ensuring the brands competitive position in the market.

Key Responsibilities:1. Category Strategy Implementation:
  • Implement the overall strategy for the Energy Drinks category to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis, consumer trends, and competitor research to identify new growth opportunities for the Energy Drinks category.
  • Set clear category goals, KPIs, and financial targets, ensuring they align with the broader business objectives of Reliance Consumer Products Ltd.
  • Define the categorys product portfolio strategy, including brand positioning, product variations, and target customer segments.
2. Product Innovation & Portfolio Management:
  • Collaborate with the R&D and Product Development teams to create innovative products that cater to evolving consumer preferences and market trends.
  • Lead the launch of new products, ensuring they meet the needs of the target consumer and differentiate from competitors.
  • Manage the existing product portfolio to ensure relevance, quality, and performance. Regularly assess and make decisions regarding product updates, discontinuations, or improvements.
3. Pricing & Profitability:
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies for the Energy Drinks category, ensuring competitiveness while optimizing profitability.
  • Regularly monitor cost trends, profitability analysis, and market conditions to adjust pricing and ensure product margins are maintained.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to conduct pricing reviews, volume forecasts, and financial planning for the category.
4. Marketing & Promotional Planning:
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute 360-degree marketing campaigns for the Energy Drinks category.
  • Plan and manage promotional activities, ensuring they resonate with the target audience and drive consumer demand.
  • Support the marketing team in crafting compelling communication strategies, advertisements, and retail promotions to strengthen the category's market presence.
5. Sales & Distribution Strategy:
  • Partner with the sales team to design and implement effective sales strategies, ensuring Energy Drinks are widely available and visible across key retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and optimize key distribution channels, working with wholesalers, retailers, and distributors to maximize sales.
  • Evaluate sales performance across different regions and channels, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
6. Consumer Insights & Market Analysis:
  • Conduct continuous market research and analyze consumer insights to identify evolving trends and preferences within the Energy Drinks category.
  • Use data to refine product offerings, pricing strategies, and promotional tactics.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market shifts to ensure the Energy Drinks portfolio maintains a strong competitive edge.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, supply chain, sales, and finance to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
  • Ensure alignment between category strategies and execution across all functions to deliver business results.
  • Lead the coordination of category plans with supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels, product availability, and distribution.
8. Reporting & Performance Tracking:
  • Track category performance against established KPIs and financial goals.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights on market trends, competitive activity, and category performance.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of category strategies and make data-driven adjustments as necessary.
