You in The Role and on The Team: In this role, you will be a full stack engineer that is part of a focused agile team working closely with Product Owners and UX designers to transform our SaaS application into a mobile first application. Your team will have domain ownership of components of the product base. As a Senior member of the team, you will be a mentor to others in the team, sharing technical knowledge, and guiding the rest of the team. 

A Day in the Life

Engineer, code, and debug on both new and legacy platforms.Will be guiding and driving the Balanced team on what to work on. Estimate effort of development tasks.Design and develop software using Java, ReactJS and SQL Server deployed to a cloud environment using AWSCreate and support CI/CD pipeline and other automation tasks.Design technical requirements to deliver functional scope.Work with a talented team in an agile environmentOwns extensive knowledge or area (domain or application) of the product base; takes technical leadership within those components; Completes design reviews on owned componentsCI/CD environmentsTest Driven Development (TDD)Mentor junior developers on cloud and web development. Assisting them with career guidanceAssist Product Support teams in solving customer problems as needed.Perform code reviews, create unit and integration tests, etc.Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

5+ Years of Software Development Experience1+ years of mentoring and guiding other developersBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Experience. Experience with Java, Spring, and ReactUnderstanding of Distributed and Service Oriented Design PatternsEnterprise deployment AwarenessExperience with RDBMSExperience with NO SQL database systems Proficient with REST principlesCode Performance AwarenessSoftware DebuggingDevelopment FundamentalsAdvocate Architectural Direction with Team Unit TestingPlayer/coach, leads by exampleAbility to learn new technology quicklyDesire for continuous learning
