We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in designing automation and packaging machinery, particularly for industries such as FMCG, Pharma, and Consumer Goods. You'll be responsible for independently designing mechanical components and systems, creating detailed 3D and 2D drawings, and collaborating closely with automation engineers.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design packaging machinery and automation systems, with a preference for prior experience in the field.
  • Perform mechanical design calculations and apply core engineering concepts.
  • Create and manage detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Apply sound knowledge of general tolerances, dimensioning standards, fits, and allowances.
  • Work with various manufacturing processes and select appropriate materials for machine components.
  • Use PDM/PLM systems for design data and document management.
  • Understand and incorporate automation elements commonly used in packaging lines.
  • Independently design machine assemblies such as conveyors, pick-and-place systems, and structural units.
  • Specify and integrate automation components including motors, servos, pneumatics, and other bought-out parts.
  • Collaborate with automation and controls engineers to design efficient and robust systems.
