Web Developer – WordPress / WooCommerce (Remote, CRO Focused)

We are looking for the best of the best to join our team as a Web Developer, responsible for managing and optimizing a portfolio of WordPress/WooCommerce websites across our group of companies. This role is fully remote/home-based, but requires availability for meetings during Australian business hours. Your success will be measured directly against monthly conversion rate goals.

Responsibilities

  • Build new websites and customize existing ones using WordPress + Elementor templates.
  • Develop and manage custom plugins and advanced WooCommerce features.
  • Implement international website functionality (geo-location, multi-currency, multi-language).
  • Lead conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies across all sites.
  • Design and run A/B split tests, analyzing results and implementing improvements.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and data teams to maximize ROI.
  • Continuously improve technical performance, SEO, and user experience.

Requirements

  • Expert-level skills in WordPress customization (themes, plugins, hooks, filters).
  • Strong knowledge of WooCommerce management, optimization, and scaling.
  • Hands-on experience in CRO strategy, A/B testing, and analytics tracking.
  • Skilled in front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and PHP for WordPress.
  • Proven track record of increasing conversion rates.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and deliver measurable outcomes.

Advantageous

  • Experience with BigQuery and Looker Studio for advanced reporting.
  • SEO and page-speed optimization expertise.
  • Previous experience with international e-commerce platforms.
