We are currently seeking a DevOps SRE Consultant to join our team in pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Role: DevOps/SRE: The SRE / Devops will be responsible for driving and developing infrastructure capabilities within the OB cloud solutions that will provide automated functionalities that will be resilient and self-serving in nature. They will be well versed in AWS cloud having experience on creating and maintaining the cloud infrastructure. They will create and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure, the application and network infrastructure, configure security controls for the OB platform. They will work with the IT system analyst, Engineering team and SRE engineers to understand the requirements and translate the requirements in to various capabilities that will allow reduction of toil and automation of routine task. The engineers will also be responsible for ensuring the monitoring and alerting framework which will allow the SRE team to detect issues on the platform and mitigate them in a timely and efficient manner. They will keep up to date with the latest developments in AWS services, IaC, CI/ CD and automation solutions.

Core duties:
Infrastructure creation and maintenance
Use terraform to create IaaC that can be used to create the platform infrastructure in a consistent and repeatable manner. Create and maintain the necessary CI/CD infrastructure to allow the IaaC to be delivered to various markets for rolling out Open Banking platform. Ensuring that all services are fully compliant with internal controls. Core Skills would include the below -

AWS Devops skills (Route 53, VPC, S3, IAM, EC2, ELB, RDS, EKS, Lambda, API gateway, AWS Session Manager)Jenkins AutomationTerraforming AWS environment stack buildLinux, Nginx, & Squid administrationPython or Node and Shell Scripting

Infrastructure Monitoring
Create, maintain and tune the necessary monitoring frameworks that will be used to monitor the health of the production platforms. Devising automated recovery actions based on monitoring rule to ensure Production platform availability.

Logging & Monitoring tools like Splunk, App Dynamics, CouldWatchALM tooling – Jira, GitHub, ConfluenceStrong understanding of security conceptsStrong networks skills with understanding of Subnets, Firewall, IP ranges, CIDR blocks, routes designing, NACLs, application clustering, load balancing, high availability concepts.Understanding of IAAS, PAAS, FAAS concepts, server and application configuration concepts and technologies.

Production Support
Respond to production incident call outs and work with the IT ops manager to recover the normal service operation on the OB platform.
 

Soft Skills & Others:

Clear verbal and communication skillsAble to work independently with minimal supervisionTeam player working across teams spanning different geographiesSelf-motivated and driven to learn and adapt to new challenges
