Senior Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Engineer with expertise in quality assurance, quality control, and project management within manufacturing from aerospace engineering.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting source inspections at manufacturers' facilities, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and managing QA/QC processes while overseeing project timelines and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Source Inspection: Conduct on-site inspections at manufacturers' facilities to verify product quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to industry standards.
2. Quality Assurance & Control: Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures to ensure consistent product quality. Identify and resolve quality issues in collaboration with manufacturers.
3. Compliance & Standards: Ensure products meet relevant industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines, including ISO, ASME, and other applicable quality certifications.
4. Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and audit suppliers to assess their manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, and compliance with contractual requirements.
5. Defect Analysis & Corrective Actions: Investigate non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
6. Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage project timelines for QA/QC activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and on-time completion of quality milestones.
7. Risk Management: Identify potential quality-related risks in manufacturing and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
8. Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, production efficiency, and supplier performance.
9. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless coordination, effective quality control measures, and timely project execution.
10. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports, quality documentation, and compliance records while maintaining clear project status updates for management and stakeholders.
11. Supplier Visits: Conduct weekly visits to suppliers to monitor and verify that development and production activities are progressing as per the agreed commitments and timelines. Ensure compliance with quality standards and address any issues proactively.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and QA/QC certifications.
• Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in QA/QC within manufacturing or industrial sectors from aerospace or equivalent field, with project management experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Project Management: Experience in planning, executing, and monitoring QA/QC-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Certifications: Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality management systems is preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze defects, interpret technical drawings, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with manufacturers, clients, and internal teams.
• Travel: Willingness to travel for on-site inspections at manufacturers' locations.
