The group has a combined manufacturing capacity of 1.4 million tpa and has made significant inroads into trading petrochemicals, ranking among the top 50 chemical distribution companies worldwide.

About the Role
  • Procurement Management: Oversee and manage the procurement of raw materials, chemicals, and other supplies necessary for production.
  • Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms and prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts and overstock situations, ensuring optimal inventory turnover.
  • Cost Management: Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on quality, and maintain a budget for procurement activities.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all purchased materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements related to the procurement of chemicals and other materials.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the production, R&D, and finance teams to align procurement activities with company goals and objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated with industry trends and identify potential new suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is a plus.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the specialty chemical industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
