We are seeking a Healthcare Onboarding Specialist to manage and streamline the onboarding process for healthcare professionals. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of compliance requirements in the healthcare staffing industry. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless and compliant onboarding experience for new hires while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in documentation and verification processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding Documentation Management: Oversee the collection, review, and organization of all necessary onboarding documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Background Screening & Compliance: Conduct and manage background checks, including criminal record screenings and drug testing, in compliance with healthcare industry standards.
- Verification Processes: Perform thorough education and employment verifications to confirm candidate qualifications and experience.
- Reference Checks: Contact and validate professional references to ensure candidate reliability and suitability for healthcare roles.
- Vaccination Record Verification: Review and validate candidate vaccination records to ensure compliance with healthcare facility requirements and state regulations.
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Maintain strict adherence to healthcare industry regulations, company policies, and legal requirements throughout the onboarding process.
- I-9 & Employment Eligibility Verification: Ensure proper completion and verification of Form I-9 documentation for all new hires.
- Payroll Documentation & Processing: Assist in gathering and organizing payroll-related documents to ensure smooth payroll setup for new employees.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in onboarding, HR compliance, or healthcare staffing.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, background screening processes, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Experience verifying vaccination records in accordance with healthcare staffing mandates.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency in HR software, applicant tracking systems, and compliance tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with candidates and internal teams effectively.
