Job Description

Pdstrian Labs is hiring a Fashion Designer who can take complete ownership of both design and production. This is not a passive sketch-and-send role. You will be involved from idea to final product — conceptualising, sampling, sourcing, coordinating with units, and ensuring quality control. You'll work closely with the founder to translate ideas into physical garments that are sharp, relevant, and deliverable on time. This role blends creativity, garment tech, production efficiency, and a deep understanding of product-market fit.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop seasonal design concepts and references that align with the brand
  • Sketch and develop tech packs with clear specifications and callouts
  • Select fabrics, trims, wash techniques, and finishing details
  • Source vendors, coordinate with tailors, printing units, embroidery vendors, and manage timelines
  • Work on sampling, fit testing, size grading, and final approvals
  • Oversee cutting, stitching, and final production batches with vendors and the in-house team
  • Track inventory of sampling and finished garments
  • Work with printing and embroidery teams to ensure accurate execution
  • Maintain quality standards and consistency across all products
  • Collaborate with the founder on silhouette selection, detail work, and drops
  • Troubleshoot production delays or QC issues and ensure deadlines are met
  • Stay updated on fabrics, manufacturing techniques, and market trends

Qualifications

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in apparel design and/or production
  • Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Skilled in Clo3D, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Strong technical understanding of construction, sizing, and production flow
  • Able to create professional CADs and detailed tech packs
  • Ability to understand construction and sizing
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and surface techniques
  • Comfortable working directly with production units, tailors, and vendors
  • Highly organised and detail-focused with a hands-on approach
  • Able to work independently and manage time and priorities
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Bangalore
