Job Summary:

The Techincal Writer Team Lead oversees a high-performing team of technical writers dedicated to supporting the creation and maintenance of product documentation. They are responsible to facilitate coordination and priotization with product managers/owners to align documentation quarterly goals with simultaneous delivery of new functionality. Leveraging their expertise in technical writing, they oversee the quality and content of their team, research and create standard forms and templates, ensure best practices for documentation are followed for print, multimedia, web-based, user sites, and other publication. They handle performance management, identify learning opportunities, and serve as an escalation point for important inquiries to ensure timely delivery and proper prioritization is followed.

Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and retain a team of technical writers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Review and edit technical documents for accuracy, clarity, style, and consistency. Plan, prioritize, and delegate writing tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality documentation. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new technical writers. Possesses an understanding of the strategic goals and operating methods of the company and has developed an in-depth knowledge of product back-end and front-end functions. Operates within a global framework, coordinating efforts across diverse time zones. Demonstrates effective management of both people and projects. Occasionally interacts directly with Senior or Executive Leadership and contributes to strategic efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and understand technical concepts and specifications Foster a positive work environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning Stay current with industry trends and best practices in technical writing Assist in the development and maintenance of style guides and templates.

Required Skills:

Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information. Strong knowledge of technical writing principles, style guides, and industry standards. Proficient in researching and translating technical information into easily understandable content. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in using authoring tools, such as Paligo, or similar Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Technical Background or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of different publication formats, including print, multimedia, web-based, and user sites. 12+ Years of experience
