Role: AI Engineer Location: Pune/Remote Type: Contract-to-Hire (Full-time employment may be offered after 6 months; to work from the Pune office) Experience: Mid-Senior Level Role Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled AI Engineer to lead the development of autonomous AI systems. This is not just a prompt engineering role; you will be architecting complex Agentic pipelines and RAG systems that solve real-world enterprise problems. While our infrastructure runs on Oracle Cloud (OCI) , we value strong engineering fundamentals above all. We are looking for an expert in Python and Cloud architectures (AWS/GCP) who is adaptable and eager to map those skills to the OCI ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Agentic AI Architecture (Primary): Design and build stateful, multi-actor AI agents using LangChain and LangGraph . RAG Implementation: Build production-grade Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, managing vector stores and semantic search optimization. High-Performance Python: Write robust, scalable, and multithreaded Python code to handle high-concurrency workloads. API Development: Develop high-latency, asynchronous REST APIs using FastAPI to serve models and agents. Database Design: Architect efficient data layers using both SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle) and NoSQL databases. Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and manage services on cloud platforms. You will translate your AWS/GCP expertise to manage OCI Compute, Object Storage, and OCI Queue . Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for features—from system design and coding to deployment and monitoring. Technical Requirements 1. Generative AI (High Priority) Must Have: Deep hands-on experience with LangChain and LangGraph . Must Have: Proven track record of building Agentic workflows and RAG pipelines. Experience: Familiarity with LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, Llama 3) and fine-tuning concepts. 2. Engineering & Python Expert Python: Mastery of the language, including asyncio, multithreading, decorators, and memory management. Frameworks: Production experience with FastAPI . Concurrency: Ability to write scalable code that maximizes throughput. 3. Cloud & Data Cloud Agnostic: Strong experience with AWS (S3, EC2, RDS, SQS) or GCP is required. Must be willing to learn and adapt to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Databases: Proficient in SQL and NoSQL modeling.  Soft Skills & Expectations Schedule: Willingness to overlap with US Morning hours (Late evening/night shifts in local time). Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; able to explain complex AI concepts clearly. Mindset: Extreme ownership. You are a self-starter who identifies gaps and fills them without waiting for permission.
