Job Description Responsible for payroll administration for seafarers and ensures that payroll activities are performed timely and accurately. Follow timely handling of seafarers’ reimbursements and responsible for cash to master Job Responsibilities Compliant with payroll manual and wage matrix Understand accounts, calculations, OFAC verification and allotments for accurate payroll performance Report any payroll related issues to line manager and follow up till closure Responsible for timely payroll processing/ approvals of allotments Communicate with vessels, seafarers, manning offices and company accounts for payroll activities Provide support to seafarers for usage of My Wallem Compas for payroll/claims Keep track of outstanding payroll and final balance of wages for amicable closure Arrange Cash to Master Monitor instances of negative balance of wages and escalation to line manager Utilize knowledge of ship, owner, collective bargaining agreement, wage scales for effective payroll administration Support the requirement to timely accrue cost commitments to avoid liability to the Company Responsible for timely processing of seafarers’ wages and claims Escalate seafarers’ grievances to line manager Deliver performance as per job specific KPI’s Job Requirements Minimum 5-7 years' experience in similar position Bachelor's Degree or Degree in Maritime / Logistic or related disciplines Good Knowledge of payroll manual and wage matrix Effective communicator with a good command of English
