Role: Group Lead – Data EngineeringExperience: 15 – 18 YearsCTC: Up to 90 LPA (including variable)Location: Ahmedabad (Work from office, Hybrid)Primary ResponsibilitiesManage strategy and allocation of data engineering resources for cross-functional delivery teams within the regionHiring governance for external and internal data engineer resources globallyLead the design and development of technical training programs for data engineersEstablish and enforce best practices and controls for data engineering at scaleConduct thorough code reviews to ensure solution consistency and accuracy across all teamsArchitect and build robust frameworks for data ingestion, processing, integration, and governanceManage a pipeline of platform and framework improvements to enhance the cloud analytics platform’s efficiency and securityDevelop and evaluate new technologies and tools for data engineering teamsCollaborate with software vendors to align their products with our needs and drive innovationWork closely with product owners, stakeholders, and executives to identify and mitigate potential data challenges.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Information Technology, or a related field (Master degree preferred)Overall 18 Years with 6+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture rolesExpert in software development, including design patterns and framework developmentExpert in core Python programming language (not limited to PySpark or analytical libraries)Expert SQL development and deep analytical skillsExpert with automated code testing (pytest / unittest) and data testing (great expectations / dbt / etc)Proven experience with data warehousing solutions (e.G., Snowflake, BigQuery)Solid experience with major cloud computing services and infrastructure (Azure preferred)Expert knowledge of database technologies (relational, NoSQL, BigData, cloud databases)Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Looker)Familiarity with the Linux operating systemExposure to machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematicsDomain Expertise5+ years of experience building enterprise-level data solutionsProven ability to design and build data frameworks and platforms on major cloud providersDemonstrated experience creating data assets for mission-critical applicationsProven experience applying DevOps (Build + Run + Support) practices in the data domainExperience with Agile methodologiesExperiencesExperience leading and managing cross-functional teamsExpertise in applying cloud technologies within a DataOps and DevOps frameworkIndividual SkillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and conciselyStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex information and present it effectivelyProven ability to collaborate effectively with teams to create innovative solutions.Mindsets and BehaviorsPassionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging / disruptive technologiesProven learning agility on both the technical and business process realmsWants to unleash inner self-starter and work in an environment that fosters entrepreneurial mindsBelieves in culture of brutal transparency and trust and open to learning new ideas outside scope or knowledge
