THE ROLE
At Bombay Sweet Shop, our logistics operations are at the heart of ensuring our handmade, perishable products reach every customer, store, and location in perfect condition. We're looking for a Logistics Manager who has proven success in running a high-volume and cost-efficient logistics operation in the food or perishables industry. From transportation to inventory management, your expertise will ensure that our products are delivered on time, safely, and efficiently.

This isn't just about managing shipments—it's about enforcing processes, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards across the entire supply chain. If you've successfully led logistics teams, have a passion for process optimization, and can lead with clarity and accountability, this role is for you.

Bombay Sweet Shop is part of the Hunger Inc. family, which also includes The Bombay Canteen, O Pedro, Veronica's, and Papa's. Our mission goes beyond just sweets—we're driving a mithai revolution while ensuring that our operations are structured, reliable, and built for scale.

You'll report to the Director of Operations and travel between our logistics hubs to ensure smooth and optimized management across all supply chain functions.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Logistics Coordination – Ensure timely and efficient delivery of all shipments, working closely with transportation providers to streamline routes and reduce costs.

  • Supply Chain Management – Oversee the end-to-end movement of ingredients and products, from sourcing raw materials to dispatching finished products, ensuring products are on time and in perfect condition.

  • Budgeting & Cost Optimization – Plan ahead for business cycles for our logistics fleets of riders, trucks, and deliveries always keeping an eye on cost efficiency

  • Food Safety & Compliance – Ensure all logistics activities comply with food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, etc.) and storage regulations, keeping everything audit-ready at all times.

  • Process Optimization – Drive continuous improvements in logistics and distribution processes to reduce inefficiencies, minimize costs, and ensure timely deliveries across all locations.

  • Reporting & Data Analysis – Track logistics performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and use data to make informed decisions that optimize both costs and performance.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration – Work closely with the warehouse, production, and customer service teams to align logistics operations with business needs.

  • Team Management – Lead a team of logistics coordinators, ensuring operations are organized, accountable, and efficient.


WHO YOU ARE

  • 5-7 years of proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, ideally within food or FMCG industries.

  • Expertise in food safety and compliance regulations with a solid understanding of inventory management systems.

  • Data-driven – You're comfortable using logistics and warehouse management systems (WMS), and you excel at analyzing and using data to improve processes.

  • A strong communicator and problem-solver – You tackle issues with a sense of urgency, keeping all stakeholders informed and ensuring smooth operations.

  • A leader – You inspire your team to stay organized, accountable, and motivated, ensuring high levels of efficiency and productivity.

  • Tech-savvy – You have experience with logistics software and other resource planning tools, constantly looking for ways to improve workflow automation.
