Job Purpose

This position and person would be responsible for managing 24x7 shift operation of datacenter that includes handling all MEP system , security and BMS system , local network and MMR connection and handling remote-hands-on services to ensure best-in-class support and seamless operation of datacenter .

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for managing 24x7 basis datacenter operation and working in 24x7 shift activity Monitor all incident of MEP and security system and be as first point escalation Track and monitor energy / power usage , diesel usage through BMS and MEP engineers Manages uptime of services for MEP i.e power & cooling as per Tier-3 Uptime KPIs Support for provisioning services during built activity e.g cages /security system/deployment of racks , power socket etc . Ensure all physical security system , BMS , CCTV Access control and system are working in sync with MEP system and all the critical alerts are monitored , addressed and escalation to respective OEM . Responsible for creating dashboards and daily/weekly report using BMS and DCIM system Coordinate with OEMs/Vendors to maintain and upkeep the high availability of systems Responsible for analyzing the fault through BMS and handling Incident management, Change Management etc Responsible for event analyzing and provide technical inputs for preparing RCA Coordination with Telcos for physical cabling and network provision to Data Center Coordination with ISP, clients, and onsite technical teams during fiber and ISP links outages . Must have basic understanding of physical cabling, Patch panel & patch cabling etc used for inter-connect . Supports cross-connect works and Installation & testing of cross-connect circuits Assist in fault finding and investigation of network cabling Providing loop-back cables to test circuits remotely in case required Resetting or replacing components or cables Replacing of faulty cables Labelling, Patching and Asset Tagging activities

Educational Qualifications

BE/B-Tech or equivalent with Electronics & Communication / electrical etc

Relevant Experience

6-8 Years of relevant hands-on experience in managing Data Center and critical IT facilities Should have knowledge in Physical network cabling, Cable Management, Patch Management, Testing of cables, Provisioning and Cross-Connect Services inside Data Center environment. Exposure and working experience on Data Center ELV system e.g. BMS, fire & alarms, fire suppression gas, Access control and CCTV Must have worked in 24x7 mission critical operations like datacenter delivering 100 % uptime Understands well on service KPIs and tracking mechanism e.g. humidity, temperature, uptime and other parameters associated to end customer's SLA Must have managed vendors and OEM in previous assignment Excellent incident management skills and customer communication, root cause analysis and problem management skills. Proficiency in MS office and related applications Relevant knowledge in physical cabling architecture for copper / fiber etc in Data Center environment Relevant knowledge and good understanding of provisioning and cross-connect services Network security basics
