This role is ideal for a senior professional with strong leadership, commercial acumen, and deep technical understanding of steel/engineering procurement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the procurement function and ensure alignment with project timelines and organizational requirements.Drive procurement strategy, cost optimization, and supplier performance management.Approve procurement plans, RFQs, comparative statements, and vendor finalization.Oversee technical and commercial evaluation of bids in collaboration with engineering and project teams.Lead contract negotiations, vendor development, and long-term sourcing strategies.Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and contract terms.Monitor high-value purchases, delivery schedules, delays, and risk mitigation.Mentor and guide the procurement team (Managers, Engineers, Executives).Coordinate with Accounts for timely payments and vendor issue resolution.Prepare and present weekly/monthly MIS, dashboards, and procurement status reports to management.Desired Candidate ProfileBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).Above 8 years of experience in procurement (Steel Manufacturing industry preferred).Strong experience in contracts, commercial negotiations, and high-value sourcing.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office.Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.Offered CTC: 12-25LPAJob Type: Full-timeApply: Send your resume to career.steel@greta.in with the subject line: “Application for AGM/DGM – Procurement”.2.
