In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for bringing up early hardware prototypes, validating power and signal integrity, and automating hardware test workflows. Your scripting expertise will help streamline diagnostics and accelerate platform readiness for firmware and system teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform bring-up and validation of prototype hardware platforms (server boards, compute modules, embedded systems).
  • Validate power rails, clocks, reset logic, and high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet) using lab instruments and software tools.
  • Automate board-level tests, diagnostics, and validation routines using Python and Shell scripts.
  • Interface with BMC, BIOS, and OS-level tools via serial, I2C, SPI, and debug interfaces to monitor and validate board behavior.
  • Flash and debug firmware components (e.g., BIOS, BMC, CPLD/FPGA) during bring-up phase.
  • Work with electrical and system engineers to debug and resolve hardware issues.
  • Document procedures, test results, and create internal tooling to improve debug/test efficiency.
  • Support thermal, stress, and power testing in collaboration with validation and reliability teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7+ years of experience in hardware bring-up, validation, or embedded system debug.
  • Proficient in Python and Shell scripting for test automation, logging, and diagnostics.
  • Strong hands-on experience with lab tools: oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, I2C/SPI analyzers, and power measurement equipment.
  • Deep understanding of board-level debugging, power sequencing, signal probing, and schematics interpretation.
  • Familiarity with bootloaders, BIOS/UEFI, BMC interfaces (IPMI/Redfish), and JTAG.
  • Experience working with server hardware, embedded platforms, or custom SoC-based designs.
