Job Title: Network Security Engineer – L1Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat, IndiaShift Time: UK ShiftJob DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated Network Security Engineer – Level 1 with 3–6 years of broadband support experience to join our team.This role is ideal for candidates who have provided technical support to international customers (UK-based) and are eager to build a career in network security.Will handle first-line troubleshooting, security monitoring, and broadband-related support while working with industry-standard tools and processes.Responsibilities:Provide first-line broadband and network support to UK-based residential and business customers.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DSL, DHCP, DNS, and One Access routers.Perform first-level incident analysis and escalate to L2/L3 engineers when required.Assist in configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.Respond to broadband-related service requests, network outages, and security alerts.Conduct basic network diagnostics and remote troubleshooting for customer premises equipment (CPE).Maintain detailed documentation of all support activities, configurations, and incidents.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated cases and ensure customer satisfaction.Stay updated on broadband technologies, cybersecurity best practices, and emerging threats.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Networking, or equivalent work experience.3 - 6 years of broadband support experience (preferably UK-based customer support).Prior experience handling international customers in a telecom or broadband environment.Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of DSL, DHCP, DNS, One Access routers, and broadband technologies.Understanding of TCP/IP, network routing, VPNs, and firewall concepts.Familiarity with diagnostic tools like Wireshark, Splunk, Nessus, or similar.Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.Excellent communication skills for handling UK customers.Ability to work in rotational shifts and on-call schedules as required.
