Job Description :
We are looking for a skilled Guidewire Business Analyst with 5-12 years of experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, Guidewire product suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter), and software implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, product owners, and IT teams, to gather and document business and functional requirements.
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Define business workflows and integration needs for Guidewire applications.
2. Guidewire Implementation & Configuration :
- Work closely with development and implementation teams to ensure successful Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC) implementations.
- Provide recommendations for system configurations and enhancements based on business needs.
- Ensure the solution aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
3. Project Execution & Collaboration :
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Support Agile/Scrum-based development processes, creating user stories, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and facilitate user training sessions.
4. Integration & Legacy System Enhancements :
- Define integration points between Guidewire applications and other insurance platforms (policy administration, billing, claims, CRM, third-party systems, etc.).
- Work on enhancing legacy systems and ensure seamless data migration.
5. Documentation & Compliance :
- Develop BRD (Business Requirement Document), FSD (Functional Specification Document), and user manuals.
- Ensure adherence to insurance compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Educational Background :
- A Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- MBA is a plus.
Domain Knowledge :
- Strong understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, including policy administration, underwriting, billing, claims, and compliance.
- Knowledge of insurance billing, customer management, and P&C products.
- Insurance certification (e.g., AINS, CPCU) is a plus.
Technical & Business Analysis Skills :
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on technology-driven projects.
- At least 3 years of experience working with Guidewire PC/BC/CC.
- Experience in writing business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with integrating and configuring package solutions.
Software Development & Project Experience :
- Prior experience in software engineering is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience in enhancing legacy systems is an advantage.
Soft Skills :
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
