We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Microsoft O365 Engineer with deep expertise across the entire Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This senior role is a critical escalation point for complex issues, driving the resolution of major incidents and ensuring the seamless operation, security, and productivity of our enterprise.
The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory. You should have extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting and administering hybrid environments and be comfortable leading high-stakes situations to ensure business continuity.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the L3 escalation point for all Microsoft 365-related incidents and requests, providing expert-level support.
- Administer and troubleshoot core services, including:
~ Exchange Online: Manage mail flow, transport rules, and hybrid mail routing.
~ Microsoft Teams: Provide advanced support for voice integration, policies, and collaboration features.
~ SharePoint Online & OneDrive: Oversee permissions, data governance, and migrations.
~ Azure AD (Entra ID): Administer conditional access, SSO, MFA, and role-based access control.
- Lead the resolution of P1/MIM incidents related to Microsoft 365 services, ensuring rapid service restoration.
- Implement and manage security and compliance policies (DLP, retention, eDiscovery, auditing).
- Manage hybrid environments and synchronization with on-premises Active Directory (AD Connect, ADFS).
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings to prevent future issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation and runbooks to empower L1/L2 support teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new feature rollouts, migrations, and upgrades.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Microsoft infrastructure, with a minimum of 5 years focused on Microsoft 365.
- Expert-level knowledge of Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Azure AD.
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for administration, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-severity incident resolution under pressure.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualification:
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, MS-700, MS-740).
Experience with third-party migration tools (e.g., Quest, BitTitan).
Familiarity with endpoint management platforms like Intune / Endpoint Manager.
Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools.
