Primary Responsibilities:
Working with Software Engineering teams; evaluate system specifications, provision and support delivery of application infrastructureDrive self-service Automations to develop the best practices around Infrastructure maintenance and securityArchitect, Design and develop Linux infrastructure and also Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructureDemonstrate technical leadership by contributing to Org level activities using latest technologies and advance the adoption of AI related tools in DevopsAnalyze all aspects of existing application infrastructure and recommend modifications that will enhance application reliability, availability and scalabilityEngage in capacity planning and demand forecasting; software performance analysis and system tuningPerformance analysis using APM and other monitoring tools to identify system performance issues and bottlenecksWork with log aggregation tools like Splunk and ELKAnalyze dump files and error codesTroubleshoot, research and analyze complex problemsWill be involved in solving moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analysisProvide explanation and information to others including Senior Leadership on challenging issuesIdentify / quantify scope and impact of business changes on systemsMaintain awareness of current technology assets, and the applicability and capability of eachParticipate in on - call rotation maintaining application availabilityOther responsibilities as determined necessaryComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience supporting, configuring and engineering applications4+ years of Linux / UNIX System Administration experience4+ years of Experience with app and web server configuration and maintenance (JBoss, WebSphere, Apache Tomcat)Hands-on experience with Ansible and Chef for configuration managementExpertise in identifying and mitigating infrastructure security vulnerabilitiesExperience troubleshooting complex infrastructure problems in an enterprise environmentAbility to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to improve service availabilityTools / tech expertise: Linux Admin/ Windows AdminMiddleware Admin: JBossCI / CD : GitHub Actions, Jenkins and AnsibleMonitoring: Splunk / Dynatrace / New RelicAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
