Larger power plant projects with metering and settlement for electricity, oil, water, and gas and local data distribution are all examples of these types of projects.

Job Description

The Electrical Testing Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of energy meters, testing equipment, and software integration at BML Gulf Energy. The position requires a hands-on approach to conducting meter testing, configuring systems, integrating with software, and preparing detailed engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct energy meter testing, calibration, and verification.
  • Perform configuration and software integration for energy meters and related equipment.
  • Advanced testing equipment such as Omicron, Freja, Zera, and others are used to carry out diagnostic tests.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive design and engineering documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
  • Coordinate with other engineering departments and external partners to complete testing projects.
  • Utilize MS Word, Excel, and Visio for reporting, planning, and documentation.
  • Work in both office and field environments, adhering to schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a relat

ed field.

Experience: Proven experience in electrical testing, preferably with energy meters. (Minimum 2 to 4 Years Experience)

Technical Proficiency:

  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment (e.g., Omicron, Freja, Zera).
  • Strong understanding of energy meters, their operation, and testing protocols.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of software integration processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio).

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role that includes both office-based and on-site testing work. The successful candidate must be adaptable to different working environments.
