Designation : Linux AdminExperience : 4 to 6 yearsLocation : Mumbai (Hybrid - 3days in a week at office, 2 days WFH)Notice : Immediate to 30 daysResponsibilities -The Engineer will be responsible for Operating Systems (OS) installation / re-installation, upgrades and patches for Servers and Graphic workstations.Test and regularly install applications patches, maintain list of latest patches.Monitoring License servers and reporting License usage, troubleshooting licensing related problems.Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements.Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, servers' resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required files systems and system data are successfully backed up to appropriate media, recovery taps or disks are created.Scheduling of automated jobsCreate, change, and delete user accounts as per request.Repair and recover from Hardware or software failures.Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities, configure / add new services as necessary.Perform on-going performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required.Configure CPU, Memory and disk partitions as required.Call logging and follow-up action with the principal Vendors for warranty related Incidents.Escalate the problem to the Technical Specialist, RTSG or TSG if not resolved.Qualifications -Bachelor's /Mater degree in related field or equivalent work experience.Linux certificationsPreferred SkillsExperience on OS Cluster Management (RHEL)Shell scripting to automate regular small taskAnsible/ SUSE/AIX skilledAWS/Azure Cloud Experience
